Asthma
Asthma is a chronic illness which is characterised by recurring attacks of dyspnoea and wheezing, in addition to chest pains, a choking sensation and a cough. It has become the most prevalent respiratory disease in the world (around 235 million people suffer from this condition), directly affects the patient’s quality of life, and is the fourth biggest cause of absence from work and the biggest cause of absence from school.
